Hit triple digits in the low desert today. 102F (38.89C for our metric friends).

The PCT seasosn hasn't even started. Still a lot of snow in the San Jacintos and San Bernardinos, but shouldn't take long to melt if it keeps up.

It got up to 68*F here in the Portland area today, with an unfamiliar bright celestial object and partially blue skies causing panic among the local residents. Some thought the end of the world had come, while others raced to their garages to crank up their lawn mowers. I desisted because my back yard is still a swamp.

The weather is already returning to normal. It has clouded up and the thermometer is dropping. A cold front is moving in. Per the NWS, "Winter weather returns to the Cascade Foothills tonight and in other areas above 2000 feet. 3-6" of snow is possible overnight . Area ski resorts should see another 6-12" by tomorrow...as the snow level stays near 2500 feet all weekend." The extended forecast has little boxes showing rain coming down for the next 5 days.

No summer for a while yet up here!

Well those folks at Eagle Creek need to keep the beer cold and the wood wet. Fun-gi's.
