This is going to be my first backpacking trip since i was a boy scout, so about 12 years. I would like to start off near bear mountain in the begining of May and go either north or south depending on conditions. My friends are either uninterested or too busy working, and since i would rather not travel by myself i was wondering this was a good place to start looking for a backpacking companion. Also, any advise would be much appreciated.
