My sympathies go to the gear maker who is trying to make something that people want to buy. Everyone seems to want something different. I don't think I could come up with an item that most backpackers (or even half of them) would want.

Take tents, for example. Some want warmth while others want ventilation. Some want smaller while others want bigger. Some want side entry while others want end entry. Some want free standing while others want minimum poles or ski pole options. The list goes on and the same applies to almost every item we use.

I make it a point to please absolutely no one! Keeps expectations to a manageable level. Of course, plays hell with my dating life, but we all make compromises.....

You please many here with funny posts, thus creating the expectation that you will make us laugh on a daily basis.
