I am looking to make a ground cloth for my backpacking tent to save weight. Anyone know where I can get a small piece for just that purpose at a reasonable price? I checked Home Depot and they only sell it by the roll.

Lots of vendors on Ebay sell by the foot off a roll.
There are two types of Tyvek that people use. There is Tyvek paper (type 10) and there is Tyvek fabric (type 14). Most of the Tyvek on the market is the hard (paper) form. I prefer the fabric for groundsheets.Randy
Tarptent sells tyvek groundsheets for its tents.AntiGravity Gear sells it by the foot.
I bought some from Montanasoft on ebay several weeks ago. He sold it in 9' wide and you pay by the foot. For 3x9, I paid $6.30 including shipping. Arrived within the week.
