Ron,

Good find.

I took a look at the first page and am intrigued. Looking forward to looking through the whole thing later.

If you see a specific item that has application please post. I'll do the same.

Hand Moldable Plastic on 02/23/2011 09:40:06 MST Print View

http://www.inventables.com/technologies/hand-moldable-plastic

If it works as I think it could, one piece of this plastic could become:

- a small cup
- spoon
- toothbrush handle
- small splint
- needle
- tinder / fire starter
- ear plug
- more?

Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

Reusable Nylon Rivets on 03/03/2011 09:42:22 MST Print View

Ron,

I've been reading through the items since you posted.

Here's one that appeals to me. I could see using it to attach something to something.....just haven't figured out what yet.

Yeah good work Ron,

This one may work well for pack straps/ backing:

I could also image the product product below being used for a whole bunch of purposes. I wonder how well it would hold fuels?

I wonder what use this could be put to for hiking? I'm sure someone could think of something.
