I'm sure we'll hear from it's new owner soon, but lets just say, I was inspired to make one for myself.

And what would a gem like that cost?

Ken,

All of my quilts (other than the production Cyanocittas at: http://www.titaniumgoat.com/Cyanocitta.html) are custom. Designed and sized to an individual's needs, target specs, etc., therefore, the prices vary quite a bit.

This one wasn't cheap.

Sorry to be vague, but I'm not trying to get embroiled in a "value" debate. It was very pricey. I believe the person I made it for feels it was worth it, I'm willing to invest the significant time to make one for myself, because I agree, and as overworked as I am atm, my time is worth way more than the price I charged.

I'm not really taking orders right now, but if you've got something specific in mind, I might be persuaded. I can be contacted at the.stateless.society@gmail.com, or via PM.

Thanks!

Thanks, Javan. It was just a curiosity. I'm not in the market for something like that just yet... As far as my base weight goes, I've got some pretty big fish to fry, and not much money for butter and fixin's. Hopefully the raw materials that go into something like that will drop in cost between now and when I'm ready to make that leap.

I gotta say that's pretty sweet. I wouldn't mind toying around with that.

Nice!

Why do you use Cuben at the top? I believe that's the top baffle.

Why do you use Cuben at the top?

My assumption would be to reduce the chance of moisture entering the quilt from exhalation.
