I've been a pretty big beer advocate for the last several years and my girlfriend and I just started collecting beers to age. I have a small wine cooler I've set to 55 degrees F. I have a feeling this is going to fill up fairly quickly. So far these are the beers we have stored:
Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Stout (2) Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Barleywine Anchor's 2010 Christmas Ale (6) Stone's Vertical Epic Ale 2010 Brooklyn Brewery Black Chocolate Stout (6) Trader Joe's Vintage Ale 2010 Guinness Foreign Extra Stout (4) Brouwerij De Molen - SSS (1914 recipe, triple stout!) A couple bottles of our home-brewed Rosemary Honey Brown Ale
Still on the list to buy:
Trappistes Rochefort 10 Bell's Expedition Stout Brasserie Cantillon Gueuze Rogue XS Old Crustacean Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Hair of the Dog's Adam Russian River Sanctification
Another reason I love to hike; I can drink all the delicious beer I want and not feel bad!
If anyone out there has experience in aging beer or just interested I'd like to hear your thoughts.
