Hi;

Does anyone know what is the most up-to-date topo map for this area on the Appalachian Trial? I'm overwhelmed by choices, but everything seems to have been printed prior to 2001.

I'm still using my Shenandoah trail maps dated 1980 (purchased in 1984). They work pretty good though they are falling apart. For updates though I have the National Geographic trails illustrated map #228 (Shenandoah NP). It was shows that it was revised in 2007. This might be a source worth looking at.

I recommend the PATC maps...2 sections were updated in 2009 and the other in 2008. The PATC maintains the trails in the SNP and surrounding areas on a volunteer basis.
