FYI, So, i finally got my hands on some Seamstick 1/2 from sailrite, Its ok for seams that will not see much stress or are otherwise sewn or glued, BUT I CAN JUST PULL IT APART. Unless i'm missing something i'll stay with glue.
The cheap Seamstick/basting tape from Sailrite is not intended for permanent bonds. It's just for holding two materials together temporarily so you can sew them together instantly. The 3M tape from Sailrite is called 'super seam basting tape' on their site because it's much stronger and can be used for permanent bonds. Supposedly the C3 tape from them works well also with cuben. I have used the 3M stuff and it indeed works well. I haven't used the C3 but I believe Steve Evans said that it's good also.http://search.sailrite.com/?freeText=seamstick
