Considering Go Lite Shangri-La 1 Nest on 11/11/2010 05:43:14 MST Print View

to use with my tarp to get lighter. What would be a good option for a light effective ground cloth.
Thanks,
Leigh

you wont need a tarp with the shangri la 1...offers full coverage in front back and sides with vestibules in front and back. i use a painters drop cloth (3mil) from lowes trimmed to size. gossamer gear has some great cheap ground cloths but shipping is 7 bucks.

Perhaps Leigh means that she's considering a GoLite SL-1 Nest to use with her tarp?

Personally, I like Tyvek Homewrap. Cheap, light, and effective. For that kind of square footage, you're talking about 2-4 ounces I'm guessing.

The SL-1 nest is roomy and I can easily get my clothes changed and pad/bag down when I use mine to hide from the skeeters. I use with my SL-1 & Hut 1/2
