Thanks for your comment. It is also nice to know that there are many other much more scenic parts in Serbia. I hope to get the opportunity to explore Zlatibor, Stara Planina and Kopaonik too.

I was in Serbia for a couple days, but was working so never got out.
I always wanted to return to that part of Europe for some backpacking.

As far as taking your kids hiking,
My parents said we complained to much and made it difficult when they brought us on their hikes.
I only have fond memories of the experience. Even on backpacking trips where it never stopped raining.
