Today I officially put in my request for a leave of absence to hike the PCT this coming up summer. I have the gear locked in, been doing long distance runs and hikes for the last year and have taken the final step to making this a reality. So, if all goes well I will leave Campo on May 22nd with the goal of hitting Canada in 100 days. Fingers Crossed!!!!

That's awesome Greg!! I'll be leaving Campo in April, but I'm sure we might meet up on the trail at some point. I'll be the funny looking guy! :) Best of everything to you in your prep and journey!

After all of the equipment is ready, you have to get consumables. What is a typical operating budget for a PCT trip?
