Not exactly ultralight backpacking, or bicycle touring either, but this documentary is really good. "Ride the Divide" is free until 12am Pacific time here:

Ride the Divide

The band of riders in the film rode a patchwork of trails and roads from Banff to Mexico, 2700 miles along the CDT.

Sunday October 24. Direct TV 267, Dish 197 Documentary Channel. Tonight at 5:00 and 8:00 western time zone.

And sure its touring... just really fast washboard ranch road touring.
