Is the problem real or is this really a problem?
Does it, cosmicly speaking, matter if the software is broke and the thread is dead?
And, philosophically, even if it matters, does it matter that it matters?
The conversation had pretty much moved on from the issue of whether or not human emissions of carbon dioxide have any much effect on global temperature. No-one here seems to be trying to defend the hypothesis with any science anymore anyway.
I think the incoming northern hemisphere winter will be another nail in the coffin of a dead duck theory.
I'd like to thank everyone who made worthwhile contributions to the Carbon Flamewar and look forward to sharing a beer with Dean when he hands over $1000 in four years time to settle our bet. :-)
