Hey Bay Area Friends, The backpacking season is slowly winding down and Cameron Kennedy and myself are heading out to Emigrant Lake--Starting at Kennedy Meadows off HWY 108 on October 9TH. We are more then likely driving up on Friday night and getting a early start Saturday morning. It is about a 12 mile hike to Emigrant Lake. No bear canister required and you can get a permit at the Summit Ranger station at Pinecrest. All wellcome! Get a hike in before Winter sets in....

Emigrant lake is wonderful place, and would join - if I was not already up in Snow Mountain.

I love Emigrant Lake and wish I could tag along but I have prior commitments. Have a great trip!

Bring a fishing pole and few liquid refreshments.....
In-N-Out Burger on the way back in Manteca.....
