I'm pretty open minded, but this is downright befuddling...

While looking for review of down sleeping bags on YouTube I came across the damndest thing- down fetish videos.

It wasn't stated explicitly that it was a down fetish video, but it was definitely not a the review/first look video I had been expecting. It wasn't anything remotely pornographic or even terribly suggestive, just a woman wearing a down jacket, brushing the sides of the material, and trotting around the room like she was looking at herself in the mirror. After reading the comments of this video and a similar one, it was obvious that this is something on which people get off.

I've never really grokked fetishes, especially those that don't have to do with some part of the body. Am I missing something?

Man, I could never do that- my skin is sensitive enough to abrasion as it is.

I confess, I too have a down fetish. I revel in the stuff. Can't seem to own enough down filled gear, and always planning my next down project. To me there is nothing more sensual than wrapping myself in a fluffy, silky smooth UL down quilt with a down hat on (and down jacket and pants if it's cold enough). I even have down-filled mittens and booties. My dogs and cats have a thing for down too.

My WTFage comes from the leap from enjoying the feeling and warmth of down encased in nylon or polyester to getting sexually aroused by the thought of someone wearing the shiniest, puffiest vinyl down parka available. No disrespect, it just doesn't compute.

I guess it's like having a fetish where one got off on the idea of someone eating a really good cheese or someone scratching their mosquito bite ridden arms. Which probably are also extant fetishes. :P

I have to admit my partner looks pretty hawt in a shiny MB UL down inner...it may have something to do with that weird green colour :)

I suppose this isn't far removed from the plushie fetish with fuzzy, stuffed animals or the furry fetish of actually wearing costumes.
I wonder if their is a soft shell suit in a coyote or yogi bear, heck with soft shell how about cashmere or possum down dyed in a baby blue.
