"and we usually encounter this with folks listing something on eBay and posting a link to their listing in here" --Addie

"What we do not want is a whole lot of postings (anywhere) which are basically the URL to an eBay auction listing or equivalent."--Roger

"They seem to match up to me."

Hmmmmmm. They may be saying the same thing, but they seem (SEEM) to be enforcing it differently, and therein lies the confusion.

My items were absolutely not listed on ebay, nor referenced on Ebay. I posted for sale on whiteblaze and backpacker.com. Which I had done regularly and seen done regularly in the past.

Set the policy on 08/31/2010 13:42:14 MDT Print View

Can't we just set a policy stating no links to ebay, for example? I think it should be perfectly fine to list an item here on bpl, and on practicalbackpacking, whiteblaze, or wherever. What's the harm?
There are a lot of rules and conflicts in this world---let's lay this one to rest.
