I just used up my 3X line extender (between line and tippet) and do not have any more 3X tippet on hand.

So I tied my 6X directly to the line, went fishing this evening and had no issues. (didn't catch any though, just a few hits)

Does anyone know if this will pose any potential problems for me? I will be leaving for a BPing/fishing trip tomorrow and will not be able to get to the store beforehand.

The "extender" is there so that when you clip your used tippet off, you don't accidentally cut the furled line.

As long as you're careful with the clippers, there should be no problem.

That was what I had hoped. Thank you for the affirmation and quick response.
