Punk rock blaring as loud as possible!!! That is my camp music. Oh and who cares about anyone around me.......

(kidding). As much as I love the greatest genre of Rock N Roll, Quiet time in the mountains is to be cherished!

im with you Ken.. right now listening to the Blue Album.. but in the wilderness?
NO place for music. I go out there to get away from music. it actually is a violation of LNT principles if played aloud. so there's that.

peace!

I never take music with me, but before a hike anything with banjos, washboards, or steel guitar usually sets the mood...

Iron and Wine
Ugly Casanova
The Devil Makes Three

etc...

yes Ken. I realize Weezer has a "blue album" but that's not really as fun.

Not for listening to while in the backcountry, but rather reminding me of a frame of mind I associate with being there.

The sound of a creek, the crackling and hissing of wood at a campfire, the wind through the trees and the early morning bird calls at false dawn as I start another day on the trail. :)

I prefer to hear what's there. Don't need/ want to be distracted from nature or my own thoughts.

My own thoughts are rather dark and scary. I want to be distracted from them as often as possible........
