So i am putting together some meals for my jmt hike and i came across precooked and just plain scrambled eggs that you are instructed to cook in a skillet.
I was wondering if you could cook the nonprecooked kind by boiling water in a freezer bag meathod?

You can do them the "in a bag" omelet method but....tastewise the dried eggs taste waaaayyyy better if you fry them in fat, texture is also better.

The best brand of eggs I have tried is Ova. Packitgourmet carries them. They actually taste like fresh eggs :-)

but just to clarify.. would just pouring boiling water into the freezer bag with eggs work or are you talking placing the actual bag with eggs into a pot of boiling water?

The bag floating in simmering water that is :-)
