Frameless?

Looks like a big Talon. Ure really needs one of thsoe, so he can make sure he's bunking with the buddy in his avatar!

What are the specs on that thing? What kind of frame (or not) does it sport? When is it coming out? Any links to more info? What does it replace (if anything)?

I think a lot of people do not know what is going on here. Osprey is working with BPL to test this new pack. They gave packs to 10 M-Life members for evaluation. No charge. However, you cannot sell the pack.

Two things going on here in my opinion. First, Osprey recognizes us fringe hikers here at BPL as a viable market. Second, it is a benefit of the M-Life membership.

Apparently BPL is trying to do more of this kind of thing for members and manufacturers.

BTW, I did not request a pack from Osprey, because I am happy with what is in my closet.

a lot like the talon, but lighter.

I just wish they would quit sewing the hip belts on. Maybe Osprey needs to order a Mariposa Plus, or ULA Circuit.

Why might someone choose this pack over a GG Gorilla or ULA Ohm? I do like the looks of the back panel and shoulder straps.

also: is this the only size available or will there be more? I'd prefer this one at the size of my talon .. :)

Someone might chose this over those other packs because Osprey is sold in stores, where people can try it on in person, load it up, actually see how it fits before committing to the purchase.

I think Bender is right on sizing.

I mean the size in litres, like Talon 22, 33, 44... will there be smaller ones?

But, as asked - is it frameless?

Hopefully this will come out with next years line. I will be interested to see if it fits. I have a rather long torso and a lot of the fixed length packs are to short for me.

Does it have the adjustable yoke for torso length, like the Talon?

I'd buy it if they made it in the 25-30L range.
