I was wondering if there was any new simple ideas on making a wood burning stove as I have not had the time to frequent this forum as often as I used to like to. Thanks.

Do a search on this forum for "Ikea". You'll find a thread with much discussion on building a wood stove from an Ikea utensil holder. There is also info on Youtube on the Ikea Hobo Stove. It looks like a good idea, weighs less than 6 ounces, and is less than $4. I've been happy with the bud light aluminum beer bottle alcohol stoves . . . but the Ikea looks to have promise if having fire is okay where you hike. I have not tried it yet, but will eventually :-)
