Are there any recent trip reports from Yosemite N.P.?

Specifically, I am interested in the trail conditions along Tioga Road, maybe 8000-9000 feet elevation. There is a ton of snow up there, and the spring season has been cool so that it has not been melting normally. The NPS reports are more than two weeks old.

I was at Kennedy meadows this past weekend-spent the night out with the son at Relief Reservoir...No snow at 7,200 ft. I am off to the Grand Canyon the Toulmne River this coming weekend with 3 other BPL members (Praying for a Heatwave) I did not see much snow in the Emigrant Wilderness area...Not quite Yosemite but close enough.....

It looks like the old snow line is between 8000 and 9000 feet, depending on whether it is in the woods or in the open.

I think I better pack some thin plastic bags to go between the inner socks and outer socks.

YARTS runs shuttles 'tween TM and YV. Here is a link with more information.

There is also a Yosemite to Tuolumne Hikers bus. Info at this site.

Like the YARTS bus there is only one trip a day as far as I know.

"Praying for a Heatwave" ?

Please cease on that. We will be there next week and are hoping to escape the record breaking heat wave in the East.

Save just a bit of the refreshing coolness for us pitiful poor melting souls.

Two nights ago I was camped there at 9400 feet elevation. During the day, the air temperature was about 65 F and at dawn it was about 45 F. That is kind of warm for the high country in Yosemite. But, you look around and see all of the snow, and you can drink the very cold snowmelt running.
