I must be sick...the forecast is for up to 250mm/10 inches of rain and severe gale winds of 130+kmh/80+mph...and all I can think about is how I wish I were at home setting up a new tent to test in extreme weather.

It's also been great for testing rain jackets!!

Of course, but most of us can't *afford* to do that!

Well, I've got a Nemo airbeam tent that I don't wish to keep, so thought it might be *fun* to see how it holds up to a gale with torrential rain. At least I don't have to worry about poles breaking, but the stakes and/or guylines might not hold in soft wet soil, so there is a risk the tent could end up the other side of town. I guess I'll have to sleep in it to keep it anchored ;)

I think being in storms in a tent is fun. Let me quantify that....
. No tornadoes whisking me away to Oz (like in the movie, not Australia)

. No tree branches falling on me from the crazy winds (tent site selection is key!)

. Absolutely no dying.

Other than that, I'm good!
