Does anyone click on this icon? What exactly is RSS / "subscribing"?

I do subscribe to some things on my yahoo home page. I get automatic feeds to the upper left corner of my home page from the places I have subscribed, like woot.

I have no idea what that is, what an RSS is, or why I would want to subscribe...

I think it's some kind of thing where new articles, blog posts, etc get "pushed" to you when they are updated.

Wow. Really? RSS has been around for quite some time. Used to be you needed RSS reader software, now it's built in to most web browsers and email programs.

Daniel's right. Headlines get pushed to you, you click on the headlines you want to read.

But no, I don't subscribe, so I don't know what BPL pushes through RSS.
