The youth membership of BSA Venturing Crew 4929 need you! Crew 4929 plans on doing some backpacking this summer as well as in the future. The problem is that many of the youths do not have the necessary equipment as they have never gone backpacking before. Long story short we need your old, heavy, and crusty gear from the depths of your gear closets, gear rooms, garages, sheds, attics, basements, storage units, etc. Our scout group promises to love and use your unwanted stuff. We can use lots of stuff at this stage, but our unit is in particular need of packs for young men and young women. External, internal, eternal (just kidding) whatever you have as long as they are still functional, comfortable, and structurally sound. We don't mind dirt, trail dust, dings, dents, wear, high milage, etc. if the stuff still works. If you are willing to donate that would be great and our organization will cover shipping. We also have a limited budget to work with and can offer to pay a modest amounts for equipment as well as covering the shipping.

I've got an old, Army-issue ALICE pack (mountain version) circa 1980s with external frame. Quite usuable condition (no rips, holes, etc. that I remember). Still has my name on it in magic marker, that's about it. You're welcome to it if you want it. Just let me know.
