20 degree down bag on 05/04/2010 21:48:00 MDT Print View

Need one for my lady friend. Anything will do really. As long as it's in good shape and is light weight.

REI Sub kilo on 05/04/2010 23:26:20 MDT Print View

I cant recommend that bag highly enough, i used the mens version the entire time on my AT thru hike last year.

For that price i dont think there is a lighter bag out there.

I would buy a couple of em now and stock up for the future and to modify into a quilt if i wasnt so broke :(

Tyler, can you remember which zip the bag uses? YKK #5 by any chance?

I have one on 05/05/2010 10:05:59 MDT Print View

I have one that I was going to sell on Craigslist. It is the North Face Blue Kazoo, women's, 20 degree bag. It's not bulky. It's neither the lightest nor the heaviest bag out there. Still has great loft. PM me if interested. I will sell it to you for a lot less than what you'd pay for a new bag ;) I'll be out all day today but can get you all the specs, photo, weight on my postal scale, etc. tonight or Thursday. zipper on 05/09/2010 20:17:44 MDT Print View

I have no idea about zippers, i started to try and learn and was way to overwhelmed so i quit.

lemme go check the bag.....on the zipper pull it says 5cn.
Does that mean its a #5?

and what is a #5?

#5 denotes size. A #5 is bigger that #3. Amazingly logical.
A 5cn is the standard now on most bags.
Parts are readily available.
