Looking to do 2-3-4(or) day hike somewhere in New England over the Memorial Day weekend and am hoping for some suggestions on destinations. I was originally thinking Katahdin but from what I can tell it's not open till later in the year.

I've got a few friends I'm trying to get interested in joining me, and of course, if anyone here was thinking of spending that weekend doing the same in the area and wants to join me.

hi steven! did you ever organize anything for this weekend? i think baxter is open, but i imagine there's still snow on katahdin and reservations have to be made in advance to camp, so perhaps some place closer in NH or western MA? i'm definitely interested (along with some other friends) if you're still looking for trip partners! if so, please email me: sunkiss115 at gmail dot com.
