I picked one of these packs up at a Co-op in Oregon last week and am rather impressed with the design, price, product philosophy, recycled content, and material choices. It even has modestly padded shoulder straps. Click on the photo for a link to the ChicoBag rePETe Daypack:

Pete, I found these at the Co-op in Corvallis, OR - which is next to a fantastic wood-fired pizza restaurant. If you click on the photo link, however, you can order direct from the manufacturer.
