I've been messing around with my gear list(s) and came up with a category I haven't noticed before on other lists. I label it "Trailhead" and it includes everything I will wear or carry when starting out. All of these items are placed in an REI Flash 18 daypack so that everything is together all in one place when I need it.

Maybe this is a common way of doing it, just haven't seen it and thought I would share!

Your trailhead category sounds like the"items worn or carried" I've seen on others lists. Fun playing isn't it
