I'm guessing that was not a staged photo.

Nice David! Now we know!

Check this out. This is not staged--my friend's trail cam picked this up.

I like that the bear is doing his thing so close to the cars in the background.

I like the traction that bear is getting from the tree in the video. Makes sense.

I think he eating something and thats it's tail. I don't think it would poo that close to people, putting the bear in a disadvantageous situation. My dogs even go off trail.

It was a spiteful poo.

Unaware hiker leaves car, heads up the trail, casually talking, and Oh! poo....

"The answer to that old age question is, Yes - yes it does"

They're not always that considerate. I can't count the number of times I've had to dodge a long series of bear pies on trails during berry season. They're a laxative, I guess.

"my friend's trail cam picked this up."

Embarrassed and ridiculed, from that moment on, Joe never again tried to entertain his friends by wearing a bear suit.......

I say 'no', he does not.

This bear clearly left the woods to do his thing in a clearing. Outside- not in the woods.

The question remains!:)

Sweet pic, BTW

Travis - excellent zoological video. Educational.

However, it needs a SOUND TRACK.

I am not that much into scatology, although some say I talk a lot of it, but just wanted to test the scat filter by using an alternative word to crap.

It occupies a hallowed position in American Gastronomy.

Questions morphing into more questions...

Does a bear eat Shittake in the woods?

or

Do your Shiitake logs bear fruit?
