Need suggestions for pants for 5'3" size 12 for my fiancee. Most of the convertibles would be way too long, considered capris.

Why not just get a pair of hiking pants that fit, and then have them altered for length locally?

Only issue with getting pants hemmed is that it can get expensive with the zippers and the cut of the pants.

You can get tons of petite clothing for ladies. Look at both REI and LLBean for good options on hiking pants.

Thanks Sarah, actually found some good deals in the outlet section and will probably grab 3 different pairs from REI.
