Nice to see a blatant rip off of the BPL Esbit stove. Amazingly, it weighs the same:

Why is it a rip off? They're just putting out the word -- not making and selling them. Or maybe I missed something.

I assume it is a Tibetan stove available in many places in Europe e.g. here

Nordisk Stove Site

I think that they either

A.) Make the stove for BPL

B.) Buy it from the same manufacturer that BPL buys if from (China?)

I think most of the BPL Ti stuff is made by Tibetan Titanium (or the company that makes Tibetan Ti) in China. I think they also make the MLD pot and others. Ti isn't that easy to work with and there just are not that many different manufactures in the world that make that kind of stuff. While companies like BPL and MLD might sometimes take a design to a manufacturer, I would think often times, the manufacturer also brings designs to them wanting to sell them under their "branded" name.

Edit: Roger beat me to it!

I've seen old steel versions of that stove in an army surplus store. It's not a new design that BPL invented.

Wet Fire has the same stove. I don't see it as a rip off. One distributer, many buyers...

Maybe my issue is that it is claimed as the new lightest Stove available. Although I have had mine for 4 years....

The outdoors magic article claims it to be a Danish company, I actually think they are german.

I am pretty sure that Knigsound Titanium (Tibetan) had that stove before BPL started to sell it. And yes, lots of those UL Ti pots, spoons, sporks come from there too.

You are definitely bucking the trend then David. Lemurs go off the cliff, by your avatar you seem to be going up it...

BTW, lemmings are those cute little rodents from the North , lemurs are even cuter primates and jump from trees at the Melbourne zoo.

Actually, lemmings don't go off cliffs. That myth was Disney's fault.
