ill give you 180 for it
Sale Pending with Socrates.
SOLD. Will Ship To Vadim in the Morning. Thank you.
Wow that is a drag. You offer it at a price and I agree to take it at that price then you sell it to someone after I agree to take it. You can be first in line to get a job at Moosejaw (before they stepped up and did the right thing).
we need to resolve this... i offered him 180 for it and he sold it to me. if this is unfair, then i want to do the right thing and take care of it...if the right thing to do is give it up to you then i will
is this ebay?
Garry, that really bites- you were 31 minutes ahead of the other guy, offered full price, then someone come along and adds $20 to the asking price-(ethical discussion aside) Did the seller give you an option to match the higher price?
ill give up the tent to the first guy
Vadim:Since you asked...1. Shawn stated his price.2. Gary accepted Shawn's terms. That's a deal right there!3. Bad form for you to muscle in with a higher price.4. Bad form for Shawn to accept! So yes, please do the right thing and take care of it.EDIT: I see Vadim has backed out. Good for him!

shawn lets take care of this via refund and direct sale to whom it belongs
Ben said it all. Everyone backpedal.
Good form Vadim.. I know it's hard to back off of something you want.+1 in my book.
Shawn might I suggest next time you use the wording: $160 or best offer....
Guys thanks for stepping in on the and I hope to hear from Shawn. I would like to have this tent at the advertised price. Shawn send me your paypal info and I will send the the money today.
Maybe I am wrong... but when I see something like "$160 or best offer" -- I interpret that as: (1) $160 clinches the deal.(2) but seller may accept a lower price (counter offer)I don't interpret "best offer" to mean bidding war/highest offer. And I don't ever recall seeing any bidding wars here on the forum. This isn't Ebay. But this is my interpretation. What do y'all think?

Ben,I agree with the points you make.$160 OR LESS in this case. Definitely not more.
OP should have done it right by stating the price...then reduced it if no takers etc...you know, the way we do it here, not "there." $160.00 was the stated price.couch
