Maybe I am wrong... but when I see something like "$160 or best offer" -- I interpret that as:

(1) $160 clinches the deal.
(2) but seller may accept a lower price (counter offer)

I don't interpret "best offer" to mean bidding war/highest offer. And I don't ever recall seeing any bidding wars here on the forum. This isn't Ebay.

But this is my interpretation. What do y'all think?

$160 OR LESS in this case. Definitely not more.

OP should have done it right by stating the price...then reduced it if no takers etc...you know, the way we do it here, not "there." $160.00 was the stated price.
