I am looking at a lightweight, freestanding tent (on the AT, most of the places I've seen to set tents (up north) are platforms). I'm limited in my budget, and am looking at a GoLite Xanadu 1, a Tarptent Rainbow or Tarptent Scarp 1. Any advice? I'm interested in knowing how they stand up in rain and how "freestanding" they really are if they cannot be staked! Thanks - 8 Mile MA
