Earthquake on 01/11/2010 09:23:00 MST Print View

My home in McKinleyville made it through with no problems. I stood under a doorway for the 30 seconds and watched the light over my dining room table swing about 2 feet in each direction. Only had a few pictures and glassware fall over but nothing broke. Every picture mounted on the walls were lopsided but none fell off. HD TV didn't fall over either!
I drove into Eureka yesterday and saw many houses with damaged or destroyed chimineys. Costco appartently will be closed for a week becasue of all the things on the shelves falling down and the broken booze.
Fun times in Northern California. Gotta love it!

Well, at least you guys are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and gear to survive for a while if there was no power, water, etc....!!
