I am planning a Winter Trip around the Rim.

Has anyone done it?

Does anyone know of any good TR's.

Can't find a lot by searching the Web.

I just pulled out an old Backpacker mag from dec 2007 and read a trip report on Crater Lake in the winter! If you can get this issue or check on line or let me know and I'll scan it and email it to you. It sound good, a 33 mile hike all around the rim on snow shoes.

Plan is of now (subject to Change) to p/u permits on the 10th and start hiking.
