Nunatak custom 10 degree winter quilt. Alpinist sized, but baffled to 3", differentially cut, and with just over a pound of down. Total weight 27.4oz in 1.0 Pertex Quantum with Taffeta interior. It arrived late last week, just in time for a weekend hike in the cold and snow.

My wife got a new McHale backpack. A LBP 36 P&G in full Dyneema.

I got a cocoon silk sleeping bag liner from my parents, and a Golite adrenaline 40 long bag as a gift from myself :)

I got a cord lock with a light in it that's suitable for emergency backup.

I was lucky enough to receive a new Titanium Goat Ptarmigan, as well as some new wool baselayers. I'm looking forward to the MLIFE sale tomorrow too for some post-holiday self-gifting.

I love my Caldera Cone Keg F system, but I also like to have a canister stove for colder or windier conditions. This new gear will replace my JetBoil Flash PCS, which is awesome but not really lightweight. Now I just need a lid and a cozy... thank goodness for the BPL community!

LOL -- I missed that. I guess great gear minds all think alike.

As guessed, the box was a Tenkara rod, the 11-foot Iwane, just what I wanted. A thing of beauty, that's for sure, but it's a little difficult to play around with an 11-foot rod in a room with an 8-foot ceiling! Another box contained enough line and tippet to last me the next 10 years, plus some flies. I have no idea how Japanese flies will work on American fish, but I'll find out next summer!
