This is strange, maybe funny. I have it as a link on my own web page, but when I pull it up it leads
to a web hosting company I have never heard of.
Did this URL belong to someone else in the past?
Or have I been hacked?

It is all so confusing '^{).

Nope, never heard of it. A company called eNom owns the domain. They're in Bellevue WA. Check here later for more info. The server seems to be down right now.
