Designed to wear inside another sleeping bag (or top bag) with a jacket to extend the warmth of the sleeping bag. Draw cord top, about 42 inches long inside. Bag Width? on 11/23/2009 09:54:25 MST Print View

How wide is the bag at the opening? Also, how tall are you (assuming the bag was made for your dimensions)?

Do you have a "real world" estimate of how many degrees the bag is worth?

I'll measure the bag when I get home from work. I have a 32 inch waist, and it is very loose fitting before cinching the draw cord. I'll post measurements this afternoon. I'm 5'7"

I have always used this half bag inside another bag, to extend the warmth of the primary bag. I'm not sure how warm it would be by itself, say used with a parka...

I don't know much about how to measure warmth, could you guess or give an example of a bag you paired this bag and the temps?

Thanks!

I still have this half bag for sale. Willing to take $80.

I've been thinking about how to answer the question of "how warm." Really hard to say for sure. Depends on so many factors- whether using a jacket or not, humidity, wind speed, what was for dinner, how much your outer bag might compress this bag. All I can say is it will make your legs warmer than they would have been otherwise. I would take this along when temps were expected to drop below my bag's rating, and add a down or synthetic jacket as well.

Thanks, Jay
