Well, live and learn. I'm sure a lot of us were stupid like that when we were younger and when we didn't know what we do now. I know I did a lot of stupid things along the way and learned lots of valuable lessons that way.

No sense in reinventing the wheel. on 11/19/2009 06:56:12 MST Print View

We've all done foolish things. I'm sure some of us have nearly needed a rescuing. Short of a split leg, most of us have managed our way out without SAR. Of course, we're prepared.

We're prepared because we've used the search function here, asked questions, listened intently, and practiced. When I was taught that fire was hot, I did have to check that myself. Its fair to note, though, that I had the wherewithall and cognitive capacity of a two year old.

Those guys should have been of sense enough to know that its winter and that its going to get dark and cold. Life is a right until SAR teams must give you blankets to survive. "Live and learn" is a luxurious phrase.
