Lt Weight Bpacks for sale--Osprey Atmos, Kelty Flight on 11/08/2009 19:04:28 MST Print View

I've got 3 light weight packs that I'm just not using and that are taking up room in the my gear closet. Shipping will be additional (actual shipping cost).

Kelty Flight--Approximately 60-65 liters (I can't recall the exact spec) and weighing about 4 lbs with all pockets attached and about 2.5 lbs w/o pockets. Also has aluminum stays which can be removed. Very nice light weight pack with spectra cloth grid made in similar design to the Cloud series but with a spectra grid cloth rather than the pure white spectra. Used but in good condition. Phots available on request.

The Nimbus Meridian is sold pending receipt of payment. That leaves the Kelty Flight and Osprey Atmos 50, and I've reduced the prices on both from $90 to $80.

Big John, who is Moonbow was out on the PCT this year. He was still running his business from the trail (at least responding to email) and planned to ramp up again when he was finished. He was also testing quite a bit of kit.

Moonbow? on 12/07/2009 20:59:21 MST Print View

Hi Ben,
How are you? Haven't been in touch with you in a while. Did you do big trip overseas this year too?

Someone bought the Moonbow pretty quickly after my initial post. I bought it from another Backpacker but never really found the time to use it in the outdoors. I did try it around the neighborhood, and I think I decided that I carry a bit more than what I think is the optimal weight range for this style pack and just prefer a closed pack bag rather than the Gearskin style.

Oh, when I saw Nia's post, I thought I might have misunderstood your question. Were you really asking about the status of the Moonbow company or just what happened to the posting about the pack?

Howdy Gerald! I was asking about the pack itself -- seeing that you had 'Moonbow' on the title of your thread. I've never seen the Moonbow 'live' and I'm rather curious about it.

I came back from my RTW trip last Saturday -- just a few days and I've already bought yet more gear! It's a sickness, I tell you...

Nia -- Thanks for the update on Big John!
