General Lightweight Backpacking Discussion »
ha! Funny stuff. I liked the boots video where he said something along the line of the following: "The military probably got the idea from me. I hiked with the Navy Seals in the Special Forces."
Hahahaha that tent dude is the antithesis of UL...imagine how much all that hair must weigh! I guess the only good thing you could say about his hair is that it is an organic and renewable source of insulation.
His hair could also be used to make cordage in a pinch.
I think we can all agree that the fellow is a little dilusional, but does degrading him make everyone feel better?It might be better to start a dialogue with him and help him instead.
"It might be better to start a dialogue with him and help him instead."You cannot change the mind of a religious fanatic. Imagine if HE tried to convert YOU into a heavy packer...! Impossible.
>>It might be better to start a dialogue with him and help him instead.<<No. I'm pretty sure making fun of him is way more fun...and probably just as fruitful.

"Tough crowd."Revenge of the bald. ;}
Revenge of the beardless :)
Revenge of the shoed.
Revenge of those with teeth.
Well he does have a point and that is that some people should not buy a Tarptent...Franco
David,Maybe you could interest him in a Gatewood Cape if Tarptents aren't his thing.
Hahaha, I've grown to LOVE this guy! I put him on my favorites list. His other videos are just as priceless.
Watch what he does in this video a 1:53 http://www.youtube.com/user/hangemhigh2000#p/u/19/PIct756FeDQ
"David,Maybe you could interest him in a Gatewood Cape if Tarptents aren't his thing."Nope - he is of normal, average size and would not fit in the Gatewood. You have to me abnormally short.
That video reminded me of this picture of the Nallo. The funny bit here is that this pic was the one posted on E Bay ...Maybe hangemhigh2000 should do a video on the Nallo too..Franco
The strain of remaining silent is awful ... :-)
that he's jerking us around. I'll bet he's into his 10th beer by now(2nd Fosters if you're an Oz-ite) and rolling around on the floor with tears streaming down his face watching all the dust he's kicked up around here. Half troll, half clown... ;}
Well that would just be mean... ;-)
