It is ready today. I left a message on your phone.

They came back all right hand zips, tho I wanted some of
each. Will this work for you?

will this work w/ a full length Neo pad?

It should, what are the dimensions of your pad?

also can you briefly contrast the two tops?

The Durable water repellant top is lighter, more breathable
and the standard 1.1 oz ripstop used in many quilts and
lightweight sleeping bags.

The PTFE is a teflon laminate
that is waterproof to a high pressure and also transports
water vapor as well as any other WPB out there. It is only
two layer to save weight, and as such the laminate is
exposed to scratches from sharp objects
(don't store your crampons in the bivy). Scratches, however,
do not generally take off the laminate all the way to the
fabric and as such do not usually effect performance.

does the netting pull up allowing you to tie it off above?

There is a tab on the outside of the bivy to allow you to
tie the netting to an overhead cord or branch to pull the
fabric off the face. Alternatly you can put your pillow
stuffing (clothes etc.) in the hood itself and in warmer
weather use it for a pillow.

weight?

12 oz for the DWR
17 oz for the PTFE

thanks Dave

my NEO is the 72x20x2.5", some of the "traditional" bivies don't accommodate the thickness of the NEO

Even my other zippered bivys will fit a thick 20" wide
full length pad.
