"Facebook is the last place I want to go..."
I did not want to start a new thread so I am using this old one and Greg's quote to ask for some help.
I deactivated my FB account last November and I am glad I did. Deactivating the account is different that closing it completely so I looked up a number of links with tips on how to close the account. It sounded like a long and difficult process and I had to deactivate the account just to be able to go through all the steps. I reluctantly deactivated my account and found it impossible to close. I spent 40 minutes , mostly waiting as my usually fast connection came to a almost halt when I got to Facebook ( why is that anyway?). I did not even look at anything, did not browse, look at notifications, messages etc. I just went to settings and attempted to get the hell out for good. Could not do it . Finally deactivated the account again, which is not what I wanted.
Why is it nearly impossible to really get out of Facebook? Isn't there a service available that will do it for you? I will pay you to do it ( if you are someone I trust) and I know I will have to give you my password.
