Free-Vestibule for ID Mk I Tent on 09/25/2009 23:06:10 MDT Print View

I have a vestibule for an Integral Designs Mk I tent. You can have it for FREE if you will pay shipping. It is Forest Green.

Scott, I'll take you up on it, but in an effort to promote re-use, then recycle (since I would be modifying it significantly) - If someone actually has an MK1 that would put it to use as-is, then let them have first dibs. Otherwise, I'd be delighted to enter it into the, "lab."

Compatible with MK 3? on 09/26/2009 01:01:35 MDT Print View

I'm planning to buy a MK 3. Is the vestibule for MK I compatible? If yes, can I take it?

Mk 1 Vestibule on 09/26/2009 10:57:39 MDT Print View

I'm not sure if the MK 1 vestibule will go on the MK 3. Maybe you could call Integral designs and ask. I also realized that I do not have the pole that goes on the front hoop of this thing. The poles should be easily put together with replacement poles at your local mountain shop. But Hey, it's free!

I've got the ID MLK and the ID 8x10. If it's still available I'd love to pay up and get a hold of it. Sure you don't want a few bucks for it? Email me and I'll paypal you. Thanks.

I've got the MK 3, not the 1. Scratch that comment.

I'll take it and pay shipping.

And I have an MK1 XL to use it on.

Got it yesterday evening (and ordered pole from Evan at ID that afteroon before I got it). Do you know what the model year is? It does not look like the model and has a single zipper to attach to the tent.

It is around 8 years old. You might be better off measuring the front arc to determine the pole length. I have not had the tent for a long time. I seem to recall some funky flaps on the bottom 8 inches of the zipper (?) And the mesh was on the outside of the fabric door(?)

OK - I'll have to call Evan at ID to figure this one out. Thanks.

Vestibule on 10/01/2009 10:03:34 MDT Print View

I don't know if this will help.

My vestibule has two zippers.

The pole length is 8'2" including the 'nubs' that go into the gromlets.

Six sections total. The middle two sections are curved.

Sounds like your vestibule might be a different model but I think the pole length should be the same.

I actually have two of them. And the poles are a bit different.

If you get hung up I could send you a photo

I talked to Evan at ID and they are going to make me a pole that will fit the vestibule - I also canceled my order for the first pole, so I'm not out any extra change. No worries here. Thanks again.

Re: Re: Re: Model year on 10/01/2009 19:23:58 MDT Print View

I tried to attach the vestibule to my tent today - it is too short and it looks like it is for the MK1 Lite (or a model with a shorter door), although the current model of the MK1 Lite does not have a vestibule attachment.

Any suggestions as to what to do next?
