I am trying to find a material that is about the weight of Paclite for a waterproof jacket. The thickness of the material in a Marmot Precip would be about right too. I am looking for the lightest material that has some abrasion resistance. By that I mean continual bush wacking may cause the odd tear that can be repaired but it wouldn't fall apart like Dri Ducks.

This site has something called Tex and Ultrex http://seattlefabrics.com/samples.html#Outerwear

This site has 2 ply Gortex http://www.owfinc.com/Fabrics/NylonWoven/WaterresistBreathable.asp#Ultrex

And this site lists something called LT. WT. W/P/B - RIPSTOP http://www.questoutfitters.com/h20.html#Waterproof/breathable%20Fabrics

Could anyone provide a recommendation on these fabrics or a guide to their weights?
