A while ago, I announced to my girlfriend that I wanted to get us a tarp and bivy set-up. "You already have too many shelters," she said. "You get another shelter, I get an appliance." (We have a microwave older than I that is on its last leg.

Earlier this year, I got the tarp/bivy setup:



Today, I got the microwave.



Who got the better end? I'm voting for myself.

I like the red, but I'm waiting on the results of the hose test.

I vote for the shelter, good compromise. I'm glad I'm not the only one that gets crap about "to many shelter" or "gear" :)

You won't have to seam seal it!

... cut off the handle to reduce weight ... wrap duct tape around it ... use it as a multi-use item by attaching a rope to make a new kind of bear canister ... ???

And here I thought the red thing was the new Emerson Series GPS from Garmin.

He like his imported Mexican Coke (classic sugar version) in glass bottles. And there is nothing lame about that, oh Lame-Master.

@Sarah - While I'm in the same camp as you (no booze), I think it's sad he only gets a sandwich in exchange for a whole kitchen, lol. At least give him some of the extra goodies that don't fit on the dehydrator trays :p.

Hehheh!! Oh don't worry, when he works out of the home office I make him meals for lunch - the one pot meals I then put on the website. He is my taste tester ;-)

He likes it more though when it is time to test desserts ;-)
