Ok I want to plan a month long trip not a hiking trip per se. I want to find a place I can hike into and set up a permanent camp near a lake for fishing and hunting basically I just want to carry about a weeks worth of food and then try and trap, hunt, fishing and also bring a book about the local plants that are edible. Is there anywhere close to Mississippi where I would be able to do this. Please help me out. Thanks in advance
