The savings comes in for the 18-22 crowd, who can fly standy on Airtran for $99 one way.

Airtran standby flight to Seattle: $200 roundtrip

Ferries to Victoria, then to Port Angeles : around $210 roundtrip

Backcountry fees: $5 entry into Olympic National Park, $5 group
backcountry permit, $2 per person per night... so $42 total for 2
weeks

or $452 for travel/permits
